01 About

We kept wishing there was a room like this in Dehradun. So we made one.

BSides Dehradun 0x03 is the third edition of a conference built locally by volunteers. Two days of technical talks and hands-on security, with programme decisions kept independent of sponsorship.

02 The setting

A security conference in the Doon Valley.

Dehradun sits in a valley between the Shivalik hills and the greater Himalaya. It is a university city with a security community that has spent years travelling to other cities for conferences. The 0x03 venue has not been announced yet, so plan your journey around Dehradun for now.

04 Programme

Here is the plan for the two days.

The shape is set. Exact times and speaker slots come later. We will put the timetable here when it is ready.

Day one Saturday 3 April Workshops and the on-site CTF final. Exact times will follow. CTF qualification details live on the CTF page.
Day two Sunday 4 April Main-track talks and the Villages floor. The Village list is still provisional.
More to confirm The panel discussion and After-Hours Social are confirmed for 0x03. We will publish their timing when the full schedule is ready.

08 FAQ

Things people actually ask us.

Do I need to work in security to come?

No. If you are learning, already work in the field, or just want to understand it better, you are welcome. Some talks get technical. Ask questions anyway.

What happens on which day?

Saturday 3 April is for workshops and the on-site CTF final. Sunday 4 April is for main-track talks and the Villages. The online CTF qualifier happens earlier; the CTF page owns the current qualifier details. See How the CTF works. The Tickets page explains what each pass covers.

Is everything in English?

Talks are in English. Hallway and village conversations happen in whatever mix of English and Hindi works for the people in them.

What should I bring?

A laptop and charger if you want to join the hands-on sessions, and a warm layer for the evening. You can come to the talks without a laptop.

Will talks be recorded?

The recording plan is still being worked out. We will publish the details, including how speaker consent works, before recording anything. Do not assume every session will be filmed or published.

Can a sponsor buy a talk slot?

No. Sponsorship does not buy a keynote, talk, workshop, panel or Village slot. It does not buy CTF advantage or influence over the CFP or programme. Sponsor employees may submit through the same programme process as everyone else.

What is a village?

A space to sit down with people who know one subject and try things for yourself. You can ask a question, pick up a tool, or watch until you are ready. The floor is planned for day two.
